Estée Lauder Taps Bowen Yang & Ana Gasteyer To Promote Advanced Night Repair

In ‘Guilty as Skin,’ the comics explore the role trust plays in how consumers make beauty decisions.

Bowen Yang and Emmy-winning actress Ana Gasteyer have entered the group chat.

In a new campaign promoting Estée Lauder’s Advanced Night Repair called “Guilty as Skin,” the comics explore the role trust plays in how consumers make beauty decisions, from the science behind the products to the people we trust to tell us what’s worth trying.

Estée Lauder’s Advanced Night Repair is one of the brand’s most extensively tested formulas, backed by more than 1,700 clinical tests. But proven products get introduced into consumers’ routines via word of mouth. According to the brand, for 85% of consumers, that kind of recommendation can start in the group chat, where friends share what they’re loving—and what’s worth the hype.

“Advanced Night Repair has 40-plus years of science behind it and is one of the most extensively tested formulas in the Estée Lauder portfolio. But beauty doesn’t live solely in the lab or at the counter,” said Fiona Sainty, senior vice president/general manager, Estée Lauder & Aerin Beauty North America. “We discover products that we love, think about who needs to know about them, and share our best finds with the people we trust. That’s what makes this campaign so true to how beauty works today. When you discover something this good, keeping it to yourself is easier said than done, and eventually, the group chat needs to know.”
